This is my boring life--most of which revolves around roller derby.

Reasons I love derby, part 1
OK, me and derby have had a lot of ups and downs. Early on, I had some doubts if I was even cut out for this. But going in to the new season…I really love derby.

Because:
- I had the best 30th birthday party. I had so many people from derby drive all the way out to my house (it’s pretty far out there).
- That bout during my first season when my skirt fell off—so I just skated the rest of the bout without it.
- Getting two grand slams during a scrimmage because my teammates are awesome
- Being part of a community that really cares about each other. Like, really.
- Getting to wear shorts and tights with boots.
- #roller derby
